Why does Launceston Carols by Candlelight need sponsors?
Raising the funds to ensure the staging of Launceston's Carols by Candlelight is crucial to the event's success. Carols relies completely on the generosity of its financial and in-kind partners and volunteers. We are extremely grateful for the entertainers, dancers, musicians, organising committee and the ground staff. who volunteer 100% of their time to ensure the event goes ahead.

And there are no words to express our gratitude to the business and corporate sector who assist us to raise the funds needed to cover the unavoidable costs of hiring infrastructure and amenities, cleaning, insurances, first aid and local permits totaling in excess of $60,000. Raising these funds is very much a focus of the committee, as our ethos is that we believe Launceston's Carols by Candlelight should remain a free family event, as it has been since we took over the reigns in 2021. It is for this reason the committee decided we needed an official fundraising event to kick start Carols 2023.

The organising committee thanks Silverdome Launceston for their generosity, their venue, and their passion that helps ensure Carols is a success, as we celebrate Christmas at their fabulous venue.
